With everyone spending more time inside, little messes can pile up faster than usual. I thought I would share a few things that might make this month feel a bit easier.
Remembrance Day
On November 11, we will take a moment to remember those who served and gave their lives, and to thank everyone who has served or is serving today.
We are grateful for their courage and sacrifice, and for the families who have stood beside them. They will be in our thoughts this Remembrance Day.
A Little Help for the Entryway
If there is one spot that needs extra attention right now, it is usually the front door. Shoes bring in dirt and moisture, and it never takes long for the floor around them to show it.
Shaking out the mat and giving that area a quick sweep can help keep the mess from travelling through the house. It is a small job, but it makes the next clean easier.
Getting Ready for Guests
If you are having people over in the coming weeks, please do not feel like you have to clean the whole house in one day.
Start with the spaces your guests will use. Make a little room for coats, clear the kitchen counter if you can, and check that the bathroom has fresh towels. Those simple things help a home feel welcoming.
If you would like extra cleaning before company arrives, let us know as soon as you have a date in mind. We will do our best to find a time that works.
One More Cleaning Tip
Before washing the floors, clean the entry mat and the area around the door. Otherwise, it is easy to carry the same dirt straight back across a clean floor.
I know. It is not the most exciting tip. But it works.

As the year starts winding down, I have been thinking about the people who have helped Obsession grow. Some of you have trusted us with your homes for years. Some of you are new to us. So many have mentioned our name to a friend or neighbour.
Thank you. It means a great deal to David and me, and to the people who care for your homes and businesses.
